I was in freezing Paris earlier in January and I needed some comfort food before going to the movies (I saw Renoir, an evocation of the last years of this famous painter, a must see!).
I was walking distance from Cafe de Flore in St Germain and could not resist the temptation of a nice cup of tea with a cake. I was lucky enough to find a table behind the window...
The lemon tart sounded like a great choice with a smoked chinese tea, one I thought would match the lemon better than my usual Earl Grey, and guess what, I was right!
The tart was very good, although I was not particularly keen on the very hard "pate brisee", but the filling was perfect and my only regret was that it was very small, specially as the whole exercise cost me 15 euros (about 20$), but obviously you are in one of the most famous places in the World, where we had once a chance to have a conversation with a certain Mr Nicholson...
Let me have your opinion about where to find the best lemon tart and I will publish your article. Obviously a photo would help your chances of being published!
