Definitions : Us/We is Our French Impressions
Nature of the Tour
This tour has been designed for travellers with an interest in artisan food, wine and lifestyle – itineraries and visits have been scheduled to reflect this. This tour is not recommended for anyone under 20 years of age. This tour requires you to have a moderate level of physical fitness and be in good health generally. Activities include: walking tours of local towns and vineyards, 2-3 hour long bus transfers, stairs at restaurants and accommodation.
Many places will not have wheelchair or disabled access.
Tour size
Tour size is 6 people max. Tours will be confirmed to proceed by us only after a minimum group size is met. (TBC)
Prices, Bookings and Deposits
Prices are based on twin share. However, we can accept up to 2 single travellers, if they are prepared to pay the single supplement mentioned in the itinerary.
You will be required to pay 200 euros as a deposit upon booking – this deposit is non-refundable if the tour goes ahead. Then half of the balance no later than 60 days, and another half 30 days prior to departure.
We aim to confirm tours as soon as possible, the latest possible date will be 30 days before departure.
See cancellation policy below.
Transfers / Joining the Tour
You are responsible for organising your own transport to the start city in order to meet the group, and for travel required once the tour finishes in the end city. All travel and transfers within the duration of the tour are included in the price (eg – visits to local producers, restaurants, transfers between towns, etc…).
Inclusions
We have tried to include as much as we can in the tour price. Inclusions for each day are listed in the itinerary. Group dinners or lunches include wine. Items not included in the tour price are: personal shopping and souvenirs, tips and gratuities, laundry, optional excursions, food and beverages outside of set group menus, some meals.
Accommodation and Dining
Hotels and restaurants are of approximately 4 star standard, we have selected these in order to provide a high standard of comfort, cleanliness and service. We have selected some of our favourite venues, places we think embody typical French style so you can enjoy authentic hospitality and cuisine for the duration of the tour.
Special Requests
Where a special request (eg. dietary requirements, room location, twin or double bedded room, a particular facility at a hotel) is important to you, please advise us when your booking is made. We will pass your request onto the hotel or restaurant but cannot guarantee that it will be accommodated. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special requests are subject to availability
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is not included in your holiday package. For your protection we strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes (without limitation) coverage for medical expenses, loss of luggage, cruise and land content and airfare charges that may occur due to cancellation, disruption, loss of deposit, strikes or other force majeure.
Visa and Passports
Although we are not organising flights, nor land transport to and from Avignon, all travellers must have a valid passport that is valid for at least six months after the holiday end date. Passengers must consult with the appropriate consulates to ensure that they have any applicable visas for countries included in the holiday package prior to departure. Passengers are solely responsible for meeting necessary passport and visa entry requirements and paying all associated costs. We are not responsible for delays or missed portions of the holiday package resulting from incorrect travel documents or visas.
Changes to Itinerary
Itineraries are intended as a guide only and are subject to alteration without notice. Alternations may be necessary for various reasons including, without limitation, road or weather conditions, strikes or other reasons beyond our control. You appreciate and acknowledge that the nature of this type of travel requires occasional flexibility and you should allow for alternatives.
Tour Leadership
Our group trips are run by a group leader. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any person participating in the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a group leader, or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund. We may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited.
Cancellation Policy
If the tour does not proceed: if for any reason we decide the tour cannot proceed, any payments you made to us towards the tour price will be refunded to you, including your deposit.
